Jacobs Ladder is an American rock band known for its genre-blending sound, improvisational live performances, and dedicated fan base.  Their music —A skillful blend of catchy pop-rock melodies, expansive improvisation, and dynamic rhythms.— Has elevated them from playing in the swamps of Lafayette to headlining some of the most prestigious stages in the South. Recognized for their strong DIY spirit, Jacobs Ladder has built their following organically through relentless touring and songwriting to connect with fans.

Since their early days recording A Sword and a Shield in a Eugene, Oregon apartment in 2022, Jacobs Ladder has been honing their distinctive approach to songwriting and improvisation, striking a rare balance between carefully crafted compositions, tight musicianship, and raw emotional honesty. 2022 moved quickly for Jacobs Ladder, as their leader, Jacob Ray Tillman, released their second self-produced album, A Field of Reeds.

2023 marked a turning point for Jacob as he released his third collection of songs, officially naming the band Jacobs Ladder. In 2024, even greater changes unfolded as the band’s leader relocated from his home in Eugene, Oregon, back to the South in Louisiana. Following this transition, he released their fourth album, Stranger in a Strange Land.

2025 ushers in a new era of growth and transformation for Jacobs Ladder as they set their sights on performing at new venues, building connections, and releasing a brand-new album.
